大阪よりは少し遅れて大島が満開です。

大島桜と聞くと桜餅を思い浮かべてしまうのですが、、、

おおきな白いお花と薄紅から緑に変化する軸と葉っぱ。
野生種ならではの可憐さと力強さがありますね。

やあ、みんな、元気だったかい？
このまえのへび君の名まえはシマヘビだったよ。
これで、ろこおばあちゃんの山小屋のあたりには、
沖縄を除く日本国内の庶民的なへびの代表がみんなそろったよ。
生垣の中に、青大将君とマムシ君、生垣の根っこにシマヘビ君、
坂道を少し下った草むらにヤマカカシ君。
これは自然が豊かな証拠で、とてもよいことだと、ぼくは思うんだけど、
ろこおばあちゃんは渋い顔をしているよ。
今回はへびは出なかったけど、おばあちゃんはワラビとりに夢中になって、
草刈りはやっぱりはかどらなかったよ。
次に行ったときは、ちゃんと草刈りをするように言っておくね。

Hi, everybody!
The name of the previous snake was a shimahebi , Japanese striped snake.
With this, around the lodge of Grandma Roko, we have all the
representatives of the common snakes in Japan except Okinawa.
In the hedge, we have aodaisyo Japanese rat snake and Mamushi
Mamusi, at the foot of the hedge shimahebi striped snake and
yamakakashi Tiger keel back in the grass that goes down the
slope a little.
It is proof that nature is abundant around there.
I think that is a very good thing, but Grandma Roko has a bitter face.
No snakes appeared this time, but Grandma Roko was so absorbed
in getting warabi bracken that she couldn’t mow the grass this time too.
