山里も今年の暑さの影響で様子が違うそうです。
だけど果実は実り、つつましやかで可憐なお花たちが咲き誇っているようですよ！

今年の夏は、昆虫や草花の様子が、少し変だよ。
ろこおばあちゃんの庭では、セミの声が少なかったうえに、
鳴いた期間も、短かったよ。
いつもは、7月半ばから8月にかけて、いっぱい咲くタカサゴ百合も
今年は8月末にようやく咲いたけど、ほとんどが、変形していたり、裂けていたりして、
正常な花は、少なかったよ。
長かった梅雨と8月の酷暑のせいじゃないかなあ。
次の世代に影響がないといいけどね。

The growth of insects and flowers is a little strange in the grandma Roko’s garden this year.
There were few cicadas and the period of crying was very short.
The Takasago lily, which usually blooms from mid-July to Augst, finally bloomed at the end of August,
but most of them were deformed or torn, and there were few normal flowers.
I hope it won’t affect the next generation.

今年は、昆虫や植物の様子が少し変だと思わないかい？
ろこおばあちゃんの庭の栗の実が、まだ青かったのに、全部落ちてしまったよ。
ろこおばあちゃんが毎年楽しみにして待っているクツワムシやマツムシの声も、
今年は、一匹ずつしか聞こえなかったよ。それも、すぐに止んでしまったよ。
近くの田んぼのあぜ道に咲くヒガンバナも、今年は花が極端に小さかったうえに、
すぐ終わってしまったよ。
冬は、普通の冬であってほしいねえ。

Don’t you think the condition of insects and plants is a little strange this year?
All the chestnuts in Grandma Roko’s garden have fallen.
They were still green.
We only heard one voice each of the matyumushi-criket and kutsuwamuhsi-grasshopper
that Grandma Roko was looking forward to hearing every year.
The cruster amaryllis that bloom on the shore of the nearby rice fields every year was also
small this year, and it ended soon.
How about this winter? I hope it’s a normal winter.
